Admire a breathtaking sunset and sunrise in the Sahara.
Sleep under the stars in a traditional desert haima.
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Zagora and set off toward the vast dunes of Erg Chegaga. Along the way, you’ll take in views of Tamegroute and Tizi Ben Selmane. After approximately 3 hours driving along part of the former Dakar Rally route, we’ll arrive at the desert camp. Once there, you’ll enjoy a 1-hour camel ride across the dunes, just in time to admire the sunset over Erg Chegaga. Later, a traditional Moroccan dinner will be served at the camp before you settle into a haima beneath the star-filled desert sky.
On the second day, we’ll rise early to watch the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chegaga—a truly unforgettable sight. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy breakfast at the camp before beginning our journey back to Zagora. On the way, we’ll stop in M’Hamid El Ghizlane, an oasis town in the Draa Valley. We’ll also visit a traditional green ceramics workshop in Tamegroute for a 30-minute guided tour. Arrival back at your hotel in Zagora is scheduled for around 12 pm.
