3-Day Sahara Desert Tour

We’ll leave Marrakech and travel towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n Tichka pass at 2,260 metres above sea level. Our first stop will be the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, where you’ll have around 2.5 hours to explore and enjoy lunch. We’ll then continue to Ouarzazate for a short visit of about 30 minutes to see the Taourirt Kasbah. Following the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, we’ll pass through the Valley of the Roses before arriving in the Dades Valley for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, head to the Todgha Gorges before continuing towards Merzouga. Stop for lunch along the way and pass the Jorf palm grove. On arrival, swap the vehicle for camels and ride to a Bedouin camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night.

We’ll begin the day by watching the sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp before setting off through Tafilalet and Rissani and crossing the Anti Atlas. Arrival in Marrakech is expected around 8:30 pm, with a lunch stop in Kalaat M Gouna. Accommodation Options You can choose between the following options: Standard Shared Accommodation: Shared hotel room in Dades and shared desert tent in Merzouga, with a maximum of 4 participants. Not recommended for children under 18. Standard Private Accommodation: Private hotel room in Dades and private desert tents for up to 4 people. Superior Private Accommodation: Same as the standard private option but with private bathrooms and upgraded meals, accommodating up to 5 people. The first night is spent in Dades and the second night in a desert camp in Merzouga. Hotel Pickup If you are staying in the Medina, please go to the designated meeting point. For hotels outside the Medina, pickup is included, although a supplement between 10 EUR and 40 EUR may apply depending on the distance.
