6-Day Tour of Morocco's Imperial Cities & Merzouga Desert

Pickup from your hotel or the airport in Casablanca at the scheduled time. Begin with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, followed by a walk through the Casablanca Medina. Afterwards, travel to Rabat for an overnight stay.

After breakfast at your hotel in Rabat, we'll set out to discover Morocco's capital city. During the visit, you'll see the impressive exterior of the Royal Palace, the magnificent Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and wander through the charming Kasbah of the Udayas, famous for its picturesque blue-painted streets. We'll then continue to Meknes, one of Morocco's historic imperial cities, nestled near the Middle Atlas Mountains. There, you'll stroll through its lively souqs, visit Al-Hadim Square, and admire the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïl. The journey continues to Volubilis, where you'll explore Morocco's best-preserved Roman archaeological site and discover the fascinating remains of this ancient civilization. In the evening, we'll head to Fez, where you'll check into your accommodation and spend the night before continuing the adventure.

After breakfast, discover the highlights of Fez, including the Marinid Tombs, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and the Arms Museum. Wander through the Medina’s lively streets before returning to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, journey through the cedar forests of Azrou and continue toward the Ziz Valley, passing through Midelt and Erfoud along the way. In Merzouga, enjoy a camel ride across the desert before spending the night in traditional tents at a desert camp.

Watch the sunrise over the Merzouga desert and enjoy breakfast before continuing the journey. Travel on to the impressive Todgha Gorges to admire their dramatic scenery, then head to your hotel in the Dades Valley for check-in and rest.

Have breakfast and drive down the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs to Skoura. Visit Ait-Ben-Haddou and cross the Atlas mountains, arriving in Marrakesh at 6:30 pm, concluding the tour. Tour Accommodation The tour includes 5 nights in double rooms with breakfast at the following 3-star accommodations (or similar): Rabat: Hôtel des Oudaïas, Hotel Malak Fez: Riad Dar Skalli, Riad Letchina Dades Valley: Auberge Panorama On the fourth day, you’ll stay in traditional desert haimas in Merzouga. Both standard haimas (up to 4 people) and premium haimas (up to 5 people) feature private bathrooms. Please note that single rooms are not available in the desert camp, and a supplement applies for solo travelers. Pickup & Drop-Off Points The tour begins in Casablanca, with pickup available from the airport, your hotel, or a central meeting point. The experience concludes in Marrakesh, where you can either be dropped off at the airport or remain in the city. Itinerary Updates Please note that Meknes is currently closed for restoration works. The Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is also closed to visitors, although exterior photographs are permitted.
