Chefchaouen to Akchour: Private 2 or 4 Day Hike

Meet at Hotel Madrid in Chefchaouen to begin the trek. The hike lasts about seven hours with breaks along the way. The first section is a three-hour trek through Talassemtane National Park, where you can enjoy a picnic. After lunch, continue for four hours to the village of Afeska, finishing the day in Azilane with dinner and an overnight stay in a lodge.

After breakfast, enjoy a five-hour trek to God’s Bridge in Talassemtane National Park, followed by a visit to the Akchour Waterfalls. Have a picnic lunch before finishing the hike at 5:15 pm in Akchour. A taxi back to Chefchaouen takes about 45 minutes and costs approximately 18 USD (22 EUR) for up to four people.

Day 1 follows the same itinerary as previously described. On Day 2, hike from Azilane to Taourarte, an 8-hour trek through the Rif Mountains, ending with dinner and an overnight stay in a rural lodge. On Day 3, hike from Taourarte to Akchour, an 8-hour trek divided into three stages, including a visit to the Akchour Waterfalls. Overnight stay in a mountain lodge with dinner included. On Day 4, trek from Akchour to Chefchaouen, a 6-hour route in two segments. After a picnic, return to Chefchaouen for a guided tour, concluding at 6 pm. Accommodation and Meals The route includes three nights in mountain lodges: Azilane (1st night): Gîte d’étape Azilane or similar Taourarte (2nd night): Gîte Taourarte or similar Akchour (3rd night): Gîte d’étape Zaouia d’Akchour or similar Dinner and breakfast are included at each lodge. Three lunches are not included; bringing your own picnic is recommended.
