Fez Free Tour

Tour Details We’ll meet at the main entrance of Lycée Moulay Idriss to begin our three hour exploration of the Medina of Fez, focusing on its oldest and most emblematic landmarks. Close to our meeting point is the iconic Bab Bou Jeloud, also known as the Blue Gate, the main entrance to the Medina. From here, we’ll walk along the bustling commercial streets of Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghira. As we explore, we’ll learn about the city’s history and visit either the Al-Attarine Madrasa or the Bou Inania Madrasa, depending on availability. We’ll also stop at the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts (Funduq al-Najjariyyin) and see the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II. Our final stop will be the famous Chouara Tannery, where we can observe the traditional dye pits used in leather production. The tour concludes at the square of R'cif Mosque, one of the more peaceful corners of the Medina, after approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
