Fez Medina Guided Tour

At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the main gate of the Lycée Moulay Idriss. From there, we’ll begin a guided tour of Fez, exploring the monuments hidden within the maze-like alleys of its Medina. Our first stop will be Bab Bou Jeloud, the famous Blue Gate and the main entrance to the Medina of Fez. We’ll then visit the Al-Attarine Madrasa, one of the city’s principal Koranic schools. Nearby, we’ll explore the Bou Inania Madrasa, renowned for its carved stucco, woodwork, and geometric tile designs. Our walk continues through Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghira, two of the Medina’s busiest streets, lined with historical buildings and traditional shops. We’ll stop at the Mausoleum of Moulay Idris II, a key sacred site for locals. We’ll then visit the exterior of the al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, part of a vast architectural complex that includes the world’s oldest university. As we continue, we'll pass through bustling souks, age-old squares, and eventually reach the Andalusian Quarter. Our final visits include the oldest tannery in Fez, Sidi Moussa Tannery, and Seffarine Square, where artisans still practice traditional copper and brass work. After 3 hours, we'll end our guided tour at R'cif Square.
