We will pick you up from your accommodation or agreed meeting point in Casablanca and travel towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our destination is Meknes, located around 200 kilometres away, with an approximate journey time of two and a half hours. Once in the former imperial city of Meknes, we will wander through its vibrant market filled with traditional goods and visit the impressive Bab Mansour, considered the largest gateway in Morocco and North Africa. You will also see the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the sultan who ruled between 1672 and 1721. Afterwards, you will have free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and taste regional specialties. Following lunch, we will continue our journey to the next stop. We will then explore the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Founded by the Carthaginians in the 3rd century BC, the city was largely damaged by the 1755 earthquake. During our visit, you will discover the ruins and admire its remarkably preserved mosaics. At the end of the private tour, we will return to Casablanca and drop you off at the original meeting point.
