Merzouga Desert 2-Day Trip

After meeting in Fez or being picked up from your hotel, we’ll head toward the Middle Atlas, passing through Ifrane and Azrou. We will then cross the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges to reach Erfoud, where our desert journey to Merzouga begins. As evening approaches, we’ll ride camels into the Merzouga Desert to reach our camp. There, we’ll enjoy dinner under the moonlight and experience the tranquillity and star-filled sky of the Moroccan desert.

We’ll wake up early to experience the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi. Afterwards, we’ll ride camels back to a hotel for breakfast and a shower (timing may vary depending on the camp category). Leaving the desert, we’ll travel toward Marrakech, passing through the lush Tafilalet palm grove and the historic town of Rissani, birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. The route continues across acacia plateaus, Alnif, the Anti-Atlas, and the scenic Dades Valley. Around noon, we’ll stop in Kelaat M’Gouna for lunch before continuing the journey. We will then visit Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas before arriving in Marrakech at approximately 8:30 pm, where our experience will come to an end.

For those who prefer not to ride camels from the dunes to the camp, a 4x4 transfer option is available for an additional fee of €65, payable on-site. Camps This tour includes standard camps with communal showers or superior camps with private bathrooms. Haimas are available in double, triple, or family configurations. Hotel Pickup Hotel pickup is included for accommodations within the Marrakech Medina. Pickups outside this area may incur an additional charge.
