Meet at Bab Doukkala Mosque to begin a hands-on culinary experience. Start with a visit to a nearby souk, where you’ll gather fresh ingredients for the class, choosing meats, vegetables, fruits, and spices while exploring the lively stalls of the Medina of Marrakech. With everything ready, you’ll head to a traditional riad inside the medina to start cooking. Once in the kitchen, enjoy a short demonstration on how to prepare traditional Moroccan mint tea. Sip a glass while learning about the three dishes you’ll make: a starter, a main course, and a dessert. Begin by preparing a starter, with options such as zaalouk, caramelized carrots, Moroccan salad, or zucchini with chermoula sauce. Next, move on to the main dish—a classic tajine made with chicken or vegetables. To finish, you’ll prepare a milk pastilla, a sweet and traditional Moroccan dessert. Throughout the class, you’ll learn about the key ingredients and techniques behind each recipe. After cooking, you’ll sit down to taste all three dishes you’ve prepared. The full experience lasts approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.
