Private Knadel Cave Tour

This experience begins near Hotel Madrid, where we meet and travel by minibus from Chefchaouen. After a 35 minute drive, we reach Knadel Cave, one of the most fascinating caves in the Rif Mountains, located inside Talassemtane National Park. At Knadel Cave, also known as Ghar Knadel, you will receive a helmet and the necessary equipment before starting the caving experience. During the exploration, you will learn about basic geology, observe stalactites and stalagmites and walk through a network of underground galleries. The limestone formations display striking tones ranging from brown and ochre to pink and white. Your English speaking local expert will also share local legends connected to the cave. The experience ends with the return to Chefchaouen, approximately 7 hours after pickup. Who can participate A good level of physical fitness is required. This experience is not suitable for people with heart or back conditions or for pregnant women. No previous caving experience is required.
