Rabat Guided Walking Tour

At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at the Kasbah of the Udayas, a historic fortress located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River. From there, we’ll begin our journey through Rabat’s past, from Roman remains to royal landmarks. We’ll start by walking through the narrow blue and white streets of the Kasbah, enjoying panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby city of Salé. Our next stop is the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret that reflects the ambitions of its era. Just beside it, we’ll visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, an architectural masterpiece in white marble with intricate decorations crafted by hundreds of Moroccan artisans. We’ll then head to the Royal Palace (Dar al-Makhzen), the official residence of the King of Morocco. From the outside, we’ll admire its impressive gates, vast courtyards, and ceremonial guards. The tour continues to Chellah, an ancient Roman and medieval necropolis surrounded by nature, where historic ruins share the space with nesting storks. Finally, we’ll explore the Old Medina of Rabat, wandering through its lively streets filled with traditional shops and local crafts. After approximately two hours, the tour will end at the restaurant Dar Rbatia.
