Tangier Tour: Cape Spartel, Hercules Cave + Camel Ride

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Tangier and begin our excursion to Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules. Our first stop will be Perdicaris Park, where you can enjoy nature and sweeping views. After a 30 minute drive, we’ll reach Cape Spartel, where the lighthouse marks the point where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Next, you’ll enjoy a 30 minute camel ride along the beach, or if you prefer, you can take a relaxing walk on the shore. We’ll then visit the Caves of Hercules, also known as “The Map of Africa,” named after the legend of Heracles, who is said to have rested there. The grotto features two striking openings. After exploring the caves, we’ll return to Tangier, with about a 20 minute drive, and drop you off at your hotel or the Medina. The tour lasts approximately three hours.
