We’ll start the day with pickup from your hotel or riad in Fez and head west towards our first destination: Volubilis. This former Roman settlement contains some of the most significant archaeological remains in Morocco. You’ll have between 1 and 2 hours of free time to walk around the site, admire its well-preserved mosaics and columns, and get a sense of Roman life in North Africa. Next, we’ll continue to Moulay Idriss, one of Morocco’s most important pilgrimage towns. You’ll have around 1 hour to explore this sacred city, named after Idriss I, founder of the Idrissid dynasty and considered a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. Our final stop will be Meknes, one of the country’s four imperial cities. Here, you’ll have free time to have lunch and discover its main highlights. Suggestions include wandering through the souk, visiting the iconic Bab Mansour Gate, or relaxing with a mint tea in El Hedim Square. At the end of the day, we’ll head back to Fez and drop you off at your accommodation in the late afternoon. The total duration of the tour is approximately 10 hours.
