We start our journey south, departing for Ifrán, known as the "Moroccan Switzerland" for its unique architecture and parks that offer an unusual landscape in Morocco. After exploring this city, we head towards Azrou, a lively Berber city, ideal for discovering local handicrafts and vibrant carpet markets. We continue to Erfoud, an oasis at the entrance of the Sahara desert, famous for its impressive collection of fossils. From Erfoud, our tour takes us to Merzouga, located at the foot of the imposing Erg-Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival at the desert camp, we will be greeted with a traditional welcome tea. After a brief moment of relaxation and time to settle into our tents, we will embark on an exciting camel excursion to ascend the highest dune, just in time to capture the magnificent sunset. From this privileged height, we will not only enjoy panoramic views but we will also have the opportunity to practice sandboarding. It will be the perfect time to capture unique photographs of the sunset over the vast sea of sand. On the way back to the camp, an unforgettable night awaits us under a starry sky. We will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and close the day with drum music, offered by our nomadic hosts
After witnessing the sunrise, we return to the camp to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Afterwards, we start our journey towards the Dades Valley, passing through picturesque Berber villages. Our first stop is in Rissani, known for its vibrant souk where we can immerse ourselves in the bustle of the traditional market. Then, we continue to Alnif, where we will have a refreshing tea and have the opportunity to learn about local life. Afterwards, we head towards Tazarine to enjoy the views of its extensive palm groves, and continue to N'kob to admire its historic kasbah. After exploring N'kob, we continue our tour to Tinerghir, where we will visit the impressive Todra Gorges. These spectacular rock formations offer towering cliffs that are a paradise for climbers and a breathtaking sight for all visitors. We will take some time to explore and appreciate the natural beauty of this stunning gorge before continuing to Boumalne Dades. There, we will enjoy time in the Dades Valley, famous for its rocky landscapes and panoramic views, before heading to our accommodation.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we continue our journey to Ouarzazate, an emblematic city that is home to the most prominent film studios on the African continent. On our way, we marvel at the changing landscape as we traverse the winding roads that wind through the Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive adobe fortress located about 30 km from Ouarzazate. This architectural gem is perched on top of a hill about 100 meters high and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
