Desert & Erfoud Fossil Quarry Offroading Tour

At the designated time, we’ll meet at Hotel Kanz Erremal to begin this off-roading adventure through the Merzouga region. We'll venture into a pristine desert area where only Berber nomads typically travel. Along the way, we’ll make several stops to take photos, stretch our legs, and explore unique viewpoints scattered across the dunes. After around 2 hours, we’ll arrive at a hidden oasis—an idyllic spot shaded by palm trees. Here, you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch and have time to rest or even take a short nap on the blankets provided. Once recharged, we'll continue to Erfoud to visit a fossil quarry, where you'll see impressive marine fossils such as orthoceras, goniatites, trilobites, and phacops. We’ll also discuss their origins and geological significance. Finally, we’ll make our way back to Hotel Kanz Erremal, concluding this 8-hour off-roading experience.
