Private Merzouga Desert Day Trip with Khamlia

After meeting in front of Riad Azawad, you will leave Merzouga behind and head into the dunes. Your first stop will be at nomadic settlements within the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you will share tea with local families and learn about their customs and daily life. Next, continue to Khamlia, a small village on the edge of the desert, home to the Gnawa community, descendants of Sub Saharan Africans brought to Morocco centuries ago. There, you will enjoy a live Gnawa music performance, blending traditional Islamic influences with powerful African rhythms. After watching the sunset over the desert, you will return to the original meeting point.
